Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, we do. While Solid Hope Counselling is not a registered NDIS provider, we are able to work with clients who have self-managed or plan-managed (agency-managed) NDIS plans. This means you can use your NDIS funding to access our counselling services if your plan includes funding for therapeutic supports.

If you’re unsure whether your plan covers counselling, we recommend checking with your NDIS plan manager or support coordinator before booking.

  • Yes, online and telehealth sessions are available for clients who prefer this option. When booking, simply select the online session option. Sessions are conducted via Zoom, a secure and confidential video platform. Once an appointment is scheduled, a confirmation email with the session link will be sent. Clients can join easily from a computer, phone, or tablet, and the experience is designed to feel just as personal and connected as meeting in person.

  • Mental Health Care Plans can only be used with registered psychologists or accredited mental health social workers, so they don’t apply to counselling sessions. However, our session rates are set to be affordable and accessible, even without the Medicare rebate. While psychologist fees often range from $180–$260 per session (with rebates covering only part of that cost), our rates are designed to offer quality care that remains financially manageable. Our heart is to ensure you can access the support you need without added stress.

  • For your first session, payment is required upfront at the time of booking. After your initial appointment, you’re welcome to pay either before or after each session, whichever you prefer. If you choose to pay beforehand, you can do so easily through our online booking system. If you prefer to pay afterwards, we’ll send you an invoice within 24 hours, with seven days to finalise payment. We accept all major credit and debit cards, and our payment process is completely secure and confidential. If you have any questions about payments or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—we’re always happy to help.

  • Solid Hope Counselling is registered with several private health insurance providers. If your policy includes cover for counselling services, you may be eligible to claim a rebate. A provider number can be supplied upon request to assist with your claim. While rebate options vary between insurers, our session rates remain competitive and accessible, ensuring quality care is available to everyone.

  • Booking an appointment is quick and easy through our online booking system. Simply click the “Book A Session” button on the homepage to select your preferred service, date, and time, and enter your contact details. Once the booking is submitted, our team will review it and send a confirmation email with all the details. If you have any questions or need help with the booking process, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
